Education Around the World! A Few of our Favorite Photos, Links & Stories

This is our final blog for 2020. Next week it’s time to shut off the computer and take a break!

Two out of three of the world’s children and youth don’t have home internet access. According to a new report from UNICEF and the International Telecommunications Union, during this pandemic 2.2 billion children lack internet connectivity at home. What will happen when schools close for the next pandemic or natural disaster? It’s no surprise that the prevalence of internet access is linked to a country’s economic development. Also, where a person lives within a country lives, is another key factor. The rural-urban divide is considerable…but that too is tied to income levels.  You can download the report entitled How Many Children and Young People Have Internet Access at Home?
